This code is to produce all the figures in our Paper Inflation, Inequality and the Business Cycle

All python codes are run using the SSJ toolkit

Figure1.m produces the graph for Figure 1 displaying the state-dependence of our Phillips curve. It runs on Matlab version 2021b.

Figure2.m produces the graph and data input for Figure 2 and Table 1. It is a Matlab file runnning on Matlab version 2021b.

Figure3 is a folger containing the matlab file to produce Figure3 and the stata do file to produce the data input to Table 2.
It runs using Matlab version 2021b and Stata18.
Due to the size of the file we do not provide the data themselves. They have been taken from the replication materials from Heathcote, Jonathan, Fabrizio Perri, Giovanni L Violante, and Lichen Zhang (2023).

Figure4.py produces the Impulse Response Functions following a demand shock, using the SSJ Toolkit and Python Version 3.9.

Figure5.py produces the Impulse Response Functions following a supply shock, using the SSJ Toolkit and Python Version 3.9.

Figure6.py produces the Long Simulation and the results displayed in Tables 1 and 2, using the SSJ Toolkit and Python Version 3.9.
Please be aware that this simulation takes about 60 min to complete.
